Departure and Pickup from Chabad of Contra Costa

For Bunks: Simcha Sparklers, Torah Torches, and Neon Neshek
(3rd – 8th Grades)
We will be traveling to Tahoe on a Charter bus, equipped with air conditioning, DVD player, and a bathroom. Camp Gan Israel provides all meals and snacks. We will be sleeping at the home of the Weisinger’s in Truckee, 11710 Snow Peak Way. To reach us on the trip please call Shternie at 925-209-1373 or Rabbi Kagan 925-209-7701.
Fee - $100.00 per camper.
Call Lynn in the office, 937-4101, if you are unsure if you paid with registration.
Here’s what to pack:
- Sleeping Bag and Pillow
- Pajamas and Toiletries
- Swimsuit (worn under clothes Mon. AM, for rafting/beach activities)
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Water Shoes
- Sweatshirt
- Change of clothes for Tuesday, including long pants & closed shoes for horseback riding
*Swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen must be in a separate bag that can go on the bus, as we will not have access to luggage until Mon. evening. Please wear swimsuit underneath clothing Monday morning.

9:30 AM: Meet at CHABAD OF CONTRA COSTA, 1671 Newell Avenue in Walnut Creek, for Departure to Lake Tahoe.
12:30 PM: Picnic lunch followed by River Rafting on Truckee River!

3:30 PM: Swimming, sand, and sports, Kings Beach, Tahoe City
6:00 PM: Arrive at the home of the Weisinger’s, 11710 Snowpeak Way, in Truckee, 96161. njoy the game room, trampoline, and Rabbi Kagan’s delicious Kosher BBQ Dinner!
8:00 PM: Night Activity!!! Surprise, surprise….
9:30 PM: Goodnight Gan Izzy, Bedtime and Shmah
10:00 PM: Lights out

8:00 AM: Good Morning, Breakfast and Morning Prayers
9:00 AM: Pack up and Board Bus
10:00 AM: Horseback Riding at Alpine Meadows, guided trail ride

Permission Slip
Please sign the Permission Slip below and return it to camp by Friday, July 30, 2010, with payment of $100.00 (if not included in registration) per camper attending the Lake Tahoe Trip.
I give permission for ________________________ (Child's Name) to travel with Camp Gan Israel by Charter Bus to Lake Tahoe, Monday, August 2 – Tuesday, August 3, 2010. I give permission for my child to go River Rafting (Level 1) on the Truckee River, Horseback Riding at Alpine Meadows, and to participate in all of the activities. In case of an emergency, I hereby give Camp Gan Israel permission to provide whatever medical care it deems necessary.
